background was from a photo my boyfriend took of freak alley in downtown boise. i had to make sure the quirky potato/king guy was in the picture because it was so weird that it made a good contrast. this was my first attempt at making it all realistic-y. the art from the wall itself was animated enough that it didn't need much modification. the hard part was to not make it look flat and boring and to make it look like he was actually leaning there, so i used some shadows. i think it turned out alright. also this was my first time working with textures. i used "recipes" from a 3ds max book my boyfriend had. |
